Earth Day is still the Court (2008)
Given the constant flow of completely forgettable and the mediocre remakes of classic films, it is not surprising that people do not want to see another movie again a nation which for decades. Robert Wise in 1951, the classic science fiction film on the story by Harry Bates, the film was that all the love the respect and admiration. In the remake the movie just can not, right? Well, very frank with you, I was a little surprised that an updated version of the film.
Visit the Earth 70 years ago in the DNA, the alien ship is aimed directly at Earth. As I said in my opening remarks that the film was a surprise, it is important that this statement in the right perspective. The film has serious flaws, and not as one big movie, in any form, but at least it is good in general, to serve up to 100 minutes of mindless entertainment. When will the movie, of course, the prerogative to discuss how many visitors the feeling that this issue would be more interesting, the way to agreement on the 1951 Robert Wise film was at that time.
On the way we looked at, the film was a big mistake - bad writing. Current thinking is rooted in superficial and fleeting, the script was so stupid as those who are trying to criticize the story that the writer - and with it, the director - he has never been the central message about the history of cardiovascular disease and instead have chosen in favor of a successful approach forgettable.
The main drawback of the script and the characters are stereotypes izreshechennye not enough parts. While I am certainly not a friend of military action - I am pacifist at heart - I was also shaken my head, as the military was represented here. Completely over top, then the whole world can see in this film is uniform as it is with the idiot in mind, to blow everything on its way to Kingdom Come. As we went up in flames during the Bush administration, I also believe that this is an exact idea of the distance to the profession. Is it a Christian film, Catholics had joined the forces with weapons in such unreflected grievances. The same applies to the submission of the State, and almost everyone else in the film, until the child is not Jacob, whose relevance to the adult simply intolerable and absolutely idiotic represents children in the current planning, as in the Disney Channel and Nickelodeon.
All this brings us to the film, the next big problem with the above issues, the lack of likability of characters. The fact is that nature is an excellent whole movie, the story of the heroine of Helen Benson. With so few and poorly defined, even the size of the actors, like Jennifer Connelly, Kathy Bates, and completely lost, do not squeeze, and the personality or depth of the characters. Keanu Reeves' flat delivery of lines may be suitable for the character, as such, but the complete absence of body language - what I suspect was from the director to do more "alien" - and ultimately, this descriptor, they prefer to see it wind in bits of our destiny. Thus, in the end you ask why anyone in a movie, with the result that the film simply did not do as it should be. Now all that compared to the 1951 film by Robert Wise, years, and it is easy to understand how people are disappointed by this film.
On the other hand, the film does not propose to reduce the amount of popcorn. With great photographs, great shots of the distant looming over Manhattan, big explosions, cool special effects and the destruction of a large 100-foot robot from outer space with a laser beam shooting from her eyes, the ability to heal and to destroy the same type and, I must admit that part of I very much want to go.
In the new movie produced mostly in the digital domain, it is not surprising that the transfer of high-resolution 1080p in the Blu-Ray disc is great. And so sharp detail than this film, which tries to screen queen. Whether it's subtle nuances and shades of black, or bold and vibrant color, transfer accurately reproduces each of them with incredible detail and vivid, so there is sure to get the maximum return on their investment.
This, of course, also for the sound, which is represented in the form of 5.1 DTS-HD Master audio track. Rock solid and strong, directional effects phenomenal, and to create an aggressive sound that envelops the viewer gifts. With a big bass, track has a lot of substance, while the upper part of the spectrum equally well, without any hint of distortion. Dialogues are well integrated and, in spite of its aggressiveness, not drowned in the sound effects and music.

Depending on what you would expect, in the remake "The Day the Earth stopped" can be disappointing or fun to drive. Your mileage may vary, no doubt. I expect that the absolute worst case, and came to enjoy the exciting feeling of Hollywood science fiction. Forgettable, but not at the bottom of the barrel, I was ready to see.
